Never could throw fast but I was good a predicting my MPH at fairs and carnivals when they would have the game where you would throw a ball then predict the next one. What ever the first throw was I would add 2 mph to the next. I had a stack of team helmets.

I pitched to 5 batters or so in little league and walked them all including a few balls that were so far behind the batters that I didn't hit them. So yeah, I pretty much threw a no-hitter though.

Back-in-the-day, I threw on average around 80mph. I once threw a no-hitter in high school, but I hit 7 batters in the game and along with 2 errors, the other team scored 2 runs one inning.

That was my problem. I was very wild and used to average hitting around 3 batters per game

Remember once when I was about 25 or 26, I was never a baseball player but I played round ball almost every night of the week and hit the gym almost as much..I went to a carnival with one of those baseball speed boxes. I was with a buddy and a couple of dates and I guess I tried to showoff, it is cloudy but I think I only threw the ball like 50 mph or something wimpish like that. I tried it like 10 times thinking I could do better but I never did. The only thing I can remember for sure is that for a week after that I could not lift my hand above my shoulder because of the pain and soreness... that was ego busting and painful. Never again.

Pretty good sytem you had down.

But if I remember correctly isn't it harder to tell what speed you will throw after the 1st couple of pitches?

I was one of the better pitchers in little league baseball, around 15-17 years old, could through around 60-70 mph from the mound but remember reading that a 70 mph fastball from little league distance was equiavalent to a 90 mph fastball from major league distance.

I've only done that TestYourSpeed deal one time and that was five years ago outside The Ballpark in Arlington when I was in town to meet my son for a Rangers game.

I was age 44 at the time and was all ready to dazzle Barman Jr but I swear to Christ in like six pitches (I think you got three for two bucks or so) I couldn't top 45 mph

He got a good laugh out of that until he himself could not do any better.

I do recall the first pitch I got like 38mph

Best part about those deals is watching the body language of the participants. Some pretty funny windup and deliveries.
