Even for the Red Sox, this has been pretty stupid

How does Curtis Lescanic come into the mid innings of a tie game the Red Sox absolutely positevely have to win?

Now that Curtis has buried them they bring in Wakefield to mop up the mess.

Yankees have outplayed the red sox this series plain and simple and have deserved to win. Red Sox obviously not a world series team if the pitching is thin enough that Lescanic pitches in such a crucial situation.

Hopefully the Yanks will win tomorrow and put Red Sox Nation out of their misery for another season.

I agree with wil

also, spend some money henry. retarted have 1 pitcher go down ruins your hopes. get beltran and another hitter and like 2 good starters and a middle reliever spend 250 to break the curse this is gay.

good for the yanks you got george. a guy who bets horses is willing to take gambles, henry is trying to win a championship and show a profit. screw that.

i just have to tip my hat and tell you to suck my wong if youre a cute puerto rican girl from new york with a 2004 yankees WS champs hat on. 'naw mean

I have to say I am not impressed with Francona overall. Not saying dump him, its his fault. No, but he is not an above average manager.

Derek Lowe is not terribly good, but Lescanic should not even be on the roster, the guy is horrid. They should have gone to Lowe or Wakefield when it was 6-6.

It probably doesnt matter, but I have to question a manager who would turn to Lescanic there and that isnt by any means the only strange thing Francona has done this season.

And the third base coach continues to fukk up.

They need better pitching next year and a new third base coach. New manager maybe if they could find an improvment, but its not going to happen. Francona won enough games to keep his job, deserved or not.

sox didnt catch the flop. seeing raises they cant handle going to bust the stack. when you put your hopes on a guy in his late 30's and he gets hurt and you cant win you probably wouldnt have won anyways. i give theo an A+ in everything but schill was just a side show who wanted to take pride in our history and all that but at the end of the day he didnt mean shyt. he has been hurt for months. he should have got operated on in june so he could be here 100% today. i dont like schill or terry right now. theyre the package that f-ed us.

theo is great but he should have reached deeper into hot pitching pools like the ones pitt, milw, fla and oak has. open your pockets henry. show - for a season or two youll be rich beyond your wildest dreams. what areject. thats why i didnt want this *** to get ownership youre seeing it right now on fox.

good for yanks. you got winner ownership and funds you can make brian cashman look like he knows what hes doing. i got no sympathy for boston. they went all in with 9's and they didnt catch the set

He's not even below average..he's below below average. I've been saying this all year long because I saw him poison the Phillies when he was here. Don't get me wrong the guy is a likable guy but he is one of the WORST big league managers I've ever seen. Francona had little to do with the team getting this far. They got to the same LCS last year with Grady Little (now a scout). Terry deserves very little credit for this team getting this far.

being a hard core red sox fan, I could not take the yankees.

But I saw that the Yankees +155 for the series was nutty, it made no sense for the line to be so high. ( It also made no sense for the red sox to be +190 against NY last year, but I'm still waiting to cash that ticket)

I took the red sox in game 1, who knew Schilling was so banged up. Games 2 &3 were obvious bets on the yankees for anyone impartial.

I remember seeing the yankees 12-1 to sweep the red sox. I doubt that is still available

francona is awful, but that didnt matter. theo, as brilliant as he is, is still just a kid. he can make deals but his overall expierence and knowledge of the game has left much to be desired. this is a guy who thought you could get it done with no closer.

you see it, goes overboard to bring in schill takes the shyt manager package deal gets d- for that, then trades nomar for 'just' cabrera and minky turs out A+

the sox are oakland with some extra bucks to spend

i dont look at 86 and ducky lent and those guys i look at the last 5 years the modern day era of baseball the wild card game anything else is just old fat dudes happy they can say they rooted for new york or whatever. i look at the wild card ear and i see boston has lost 3 times in it to new york, but were just oakland spending a little more. trickle down effect same thing like we did to oakland we beat them down cuz we have more talent we spend more.

the history means nothing to me. i guess you could say im a realist. but thats it, we send the boys without the arms to fight and this is what happens. you pray for a perfectly healthy line up so we can skate by. it doesnt work like that.

good for the New York Yankees, the series is much desereved. the boston media too, you phucking jokers need to get a clue. you never had anything billed the right way and you knew everything. youd do anything to sell that section C back page crap. phuck yall. jackie you think you know so much you ca go suck some michael holley cock, quit so i can listen to someone who puts it like it is. im fed up.

Wow are they choking bad!

This has nothing to do with a curse, or whatever mystical things the retarded yankee fans have come up with.

The Red Sox are a slightly better team, but they are just choking. They do not have what it takes to play well under pressure.

Oh well, there is always next year.

It was +170 at Olympic for the Yankees just to win the series the day of Game 1. Given the history between these two and Terry running the show I wish I would've put more on it.

I would say this isn't over...but the Red Sox "lost" this series (if it ends up that way) by losing Game 2 with Pedro on the mound against Lieber. Jon Lieber is a good pitcher but that is the game the Red Sox I thought had the best opportunity to win. I've never liked Arroyo and with Schill banged up losing Game 2 made the climb uphill a lot tougher.

I'm a Phillies fan so the only intangible I'm really familiar with in this series is Francona...and he's pretty much doing things the same way he did here. Wrong pitchers at wrong times and lineups that make you go hmmmmmm.

Baseball baby, "the sox are a slightly better team" man are you in a fantasy world. Here's a small sample for you, Caveman and Bellflop are 2 for 25,your boy Manny doesn't have 1 home run. Matsui had 2 last nite.Your star pitchers have a 12.00 era but you Beantown whinners will blame anyone but the players in your clubhouse. Try looking in the mirror these group of misfits will never beat the Yankees until they get some players with class and discipline. Maybe in the next century.
