[h=3]Chris Matthews vs. Ezekiel Emanuel on Ebola: "Obama Said It Was Unlikely. It Has Happened. It's Here"[/h]

On MSNBC's Hardball tonight, host Chris Matthews tussled with Obamacare architect Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel over the how serious a threat Ebola is to Americans. Matthews and Emanuel also spar over President Obama saying it was "unlikely" that an Ebola case would strike the U.S.

"Obama said it was unlikely. It has happened. It's here," Matthews said.

Dr. Emanuel said there is some "fear mongering" going on here, but Matthews said he was just quoting the president and stating facts. Here's a bit of the argument that lasted nearly ten minutes:

CHRIS MATTHEWS: I'm just trying to follow the logic here. Everybody's being told, don't worry unless they have the infectious symptoms, you can see them, that you don't have to worry about catching them. Yet, this guy picked up the disease apparently from somebody who did not have the infectious symptoms.

DR. EZEKIEL EMANUEL: Again, don't hypothesize because we just don't know. We have no idea what he did or didn't do and how he got it. I'm sure that's going to be vital information to try to understand the transmission, but the idea that there's going to be a widespread outbreak here, I think is just, again, it's a bit of fear mongering. We have a single case. This is not a big, widespread --

MATTHEWS: Yeah, yeah, but I'm just going back to the president's statement, doctor, and that is that the president said it would be unlikely if we had a case in this country. Unlikely to even have one case. You want to see the tape again?

EMANUEL: He said there wouldn't be an Ebola outbreak.

MATTHEWS: No, and in the second part of his sentence he said in the unlikely case someone brings it here. In the unlikely case someone brings it here. Well, they've done it. We're living in the world of the unlikely already. That's all I'm saying. I'm not fear mongering. I'm stating the facts and I wonder if everybody else is.

###

EMANUEL: The reason we can be assured here that this isn't going to be a major outbreak is we have a CDC that can do very good contact tracing. We have a very good health system that takes universal precautions on all patients, with the gloves. And you're not regularly in contact with people's bodily fluids the way it is much more common in Liberia. I think those things distinguish it. And I don't think we should get into a panic because we were reassured it would never be in the United States.

MATTHEWS: No, the president said it was unlikely two weeks ago. Well, it's not the unlikely, it has happened. It's here.

What's going to prevent some Muslim-scum-zealot from infecting himself with Ebola, and coming to the US just to pass it around?

If they'll put on suicide vests, they'll for sure infect themselves with deadly diseases in order to spread it around.

Obama sends 3000 US Soldiers to the Ebola ridden West Africa & let's disease ridden Central Americans enter the US illegally. Will
the people of this country wake up before it's too late?

I'm guessing the answer is no.

That would be very hard to do, especially at this time. Besides, those nutters usually stick to the tried and true "successes" of their previous attacks. So for now it's beheadings, enslavement and attempting to blow airliners out of the sky.

But to your question terrorists operate in secrecy. Our crazy man would have to find an infected person to acquire the disease. Ebola does not spread until an infected person is already sick. So for the terrorist to both acquire the disease, hide, and then go to a place where he could spread it before he was too sick to move would be tough. Much easier and more effective to hit a mall or school with a rifle, or blow up a bridge.

ISIS THREATENING TO ATTACK AMERICA AND ALLIES WITH EBOLA VIRUS….

Posted on Oct 1, 2014 at 11:16 PM in Politics | 6 Comments

Walid Shoebat has picked up from one of his Arabic sources that ISIS is already threatening to use Ebola against America and it’s allies by sending Muslims here who are infected with Ebola:

ISIS threatened the United States, and the allies to spread the Ebola virus, within those states, if continues to wage war on the organization inside Syria and Iraq.
The statement from the terrorist organization: The process of spreading disease is not difficult, it is easily transported in a bottle in your bag and take them from Africa to America and open in a air-conditioning duct or put it in the public drinking water by elevator doors.

The statement, posted on one of the sites of the organization: The process of cultivating bacteria can be done by any student in the Faculty of Science or Department of Biology. They do not need complex laboratories and even a makeshift laboratory can be made in a small apartment in which we can farm millions of germs and viruses.

The organization explained that its members can synthesize and produce Ebola: Followers and soldiers of the Islamic State are mostly suicide bombers and all of them are ready not only to carry Ebola, but to drink Ebola if they were asked to carry and spread it in the United States. This is not difficult but we need a decision from the leaders jihadist.

^^^Just scare tactics, sort of like the myth they fooled the Iraqi PM with a week ago which I already forgot the type of threat. Let's not get carried away boys. Yep, strong likelihood of an attack on American soil in the next few years by Islamic extremists. But with Ebola? Nah. A plane, a train, a bridge, a mall, or beheadings in a town square. These cocksuckers do what they do. Weaponizing Ebola. Come on now, be real.

Well Scott, 9/11 seemed far fetched. No one ever believed the holocaust could occur.

No one gave the Jets any chance in Super Bowl III.

To dismiss terrorist attacks by infecting the USA with Ebola is narrow minded.

When you’re dealing with pure evil anything is possible. No?

Probably not....An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure but this country is too stupid to realize that...

Dave terrorists take the path of least resistance, and emulate their successes.

9/11 was not far-fetched at all. It followed a pattern of both delivery system (plane) and target (WTC, previously targeted). The difference was the plane was hijacked and then slammed into a building instead of flown to another location. To this day NYC is still the main target and planes are the weapons of choice. I base this conclusion upon plots our government has thwarted. Re the Holocaust well, yeah it's shocking man can be so evil, hateful and murderous. Yet here we are, still.

The Jets comparison makes no sense. They outscored the only other team on the field. But if you want to put all the elements of possible terror on one playing field the choice of ISIS or some other jihad entity deciding over all those to attempt to weaponize Ebola is a longer longshot than Joe Namath getting a win in The Big Game. I'm not being narrow-minded. I'm weighing the odds and concluding attacking us with Ebola would be too difficult a challenge compared to all the previous and future choices to terrorize us.

At the very least the Ebola situation is an obvious signal to tighten the border and travel to the U.S. Is Ebola the only biological weapon out there. Obama's track record speaks for itself. He has lost all credibility since describing ISIS as JV. Benghazi was unfortunately just the beginning of a domino effect that Obama and his administration have had in terms of bad policies and slow and politically correct decision making. Any President who spends more time golfing than attending security meetings (missing 60% of them) is totally detached from reality.

Scott when you say "yet here we are still" what does that prove. You mention attacks our government has thwarted. Do you not remember Putin warning the U.S. about the older Boston Bomber. Hello. Are the ones who died in that bombing "still here". Survival of the fittest is intended for the animal kingdom and if applied to humans does that apply to individuals or to nations. Yes, some of us are still here but many are not.

"Here we are still" means bad people do what they do, over generations. I don't know why you brought up Putin here. To show we had an intelligence fuckup when they investigated and uncovered nothing? Possibly we did.

What's this have to do with the facts that terrorists are not going to be using Ebola to attack us? Does anyone want to wager on this preposterous notion? Ebola is not spread through the air. And it can only be transmitted by someone very sick. How many times do these facts have to be repeated.

I brought up Putin because it is relevant. That was when Russia (Putin) showed concern about our welfare and we dropped the ball and people died. That is a signature for this administration. They drop the ball on a daily basis. The other thing concerning Putin warning us that this administration can't get it's priorities straight. If nothing else the government exists to protect our citizens. They dropped the ball in Benghazi and in Boston. Now comes the Ebola situation and they couldn't see it coming. The Ebola guy in Dallas lied. Obama and his administration lie on a daily basis.

You also seem very eager to believe everything you see and read about Ebola. If you feel safe then that puts you right up there with Obama. Obama also said we were safe, do you feel safe. If so probably only because you don't live in Dallas. The threat of Ebola is enough to disrupt things. Ebola is only spread through the air, is that the same air that guy flew through to get here. Are you saying you would feel perfectly comfortable had you been a fellow passenger on that plane. What if he sneezed or coughed in the restroom and it spread through the ventilation system.

Putin keeps his borders secure, Obama has laid us wide open to things like biological attacks. Here we are still means some of us are still here and some are not. Those who are not here may have paid a price. There is no sign that Obama has anything under control much less Ebola.

You say they investigated Putin's warnings and uncovered nothing. You got that right. Are you saying you have confidence in them handling the security of this nation. They can't even keep the WH from being breached. If anyone can blow the Ebola thing it is Obama and his administration.

Speaking of Putin, for the first time ever, Russia has more deployed warheads than the United States. So while Russia is in the midst of a major strategic nuclear modernization, the Kenyan is too busy blowing US tax dollars on Solyndra and 'Obamacare' (aaaktard-onomics)
