Euros

Anyone know of a good place to get Euros here in CR (and without getting screwed on the exchange rate)?

Can you go into Scotiabank, BAC or HSBC and convert dollars to euros, or vice versus? I know they offer Euro accounts, but do they also have physical currency? Or you withdraw from a Euro account and get dollars/colones?

BAC for sure won't , once I tried to deposit a check in CAD into my account at BAC ,they wouldnt do it either

I know that BNCR (At selected branches) and BCR (also at selected branches) can sell them to you

Before heading to the branch to get the Euros you should call to make sure they have them there (for sure in the downtown main branches as that is where I have gotten them before)

HSBC had Euros. No line, fast service (relatively).

I went to BNCR first, they weren't even open yet (open @ 1pm in the mall) and there was already a line outside (an hour before hand).
