)))Midtjylland enjoyed their best ever season in Europe last season as they made it all the way to the knockout stages of the Europa League. They were eliminated from Champions League qualification by APOEL, but then managed to knock out Southampton in the Europa League playoff before finishing ahead of Club Brugge and Legia Warsaw in the group stages. They then beat Manchester United at home in the first leg of their knockout match, but unfortunately they couldn’t hold their lead at Old Trafford as they slumped to a 5-1 defeat.
