Based on history, the Lions roarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr in this game.

Going back as far as the 2005 series between these two teams, Edmonton has won their home game and BC has followed through with a return favor.

In '05 Edmnoton prevailed at home 37-20 and BC won 25-19 at home.

In '06 Edmonton prevailed at home 27-20 and the Lions won 34-17 at home.

In '07 Edmonton won 18-12 at home and BC won 29-9 at home.

Of course here we are in '08 and Edmonton just prevailed 35-25 and BC get san opportunity to return the favor at home this Friday.

Turn around time for Leos, if Simon plays.

weird they seem to make smith the scapegoat when you consider it was jarious' pick that turned the game around and he threw for only 219 yards and 2 interceptions.

i guess he is an easy target after those comments he made to tsn before the montreal game though

So what's the scoop?
Is Smith benched or is he injured (again)?

That is surprising--I mean they lose and he's benched?
Maybe Buono had his mind made up even prior to last week's game but only brought him in for the one game to cover his ass (as the saying goes), if you know what I mean.
Have to admit that Logan certainly has that breakout speed from the get-go though and springing him to the outside might be a common sight this week.
We'll see.

Just a shakeup. Leos are under performing.
I see an easy win for the hometowners, they have the talent.
Pierce will in early if things don't go well.

Why would Buck play? Jackson has played great ever since his slow start?

Pierce didn't exactly get a fair chance. Guy gets a little banged up and losses his job, despite the fact that he was playing quite well. This isn't like another guy came in and stole the show, or that Pierce struggled.

9/14 for 160 and 1 td in two quarters of work. Jackson looked absolutely horrid against Calgary, and most of his 95 yards (plus his only td) came during garbage time, with less than a minute to go. He only threw for 164 (plus 1 INT) against Saskatchewan. He leads the league with 9 INTs (including at least one in each game), and is 6th among starters in QB rating, with only Printers and Joseph behind him.

I don't know why Wally would switch RB, when he clearly has the easier option of switching QBs. Starting Jackson is a sketchy move, and personally, it's why I won't be laying the points on the Leos.

I think the Lions are in a tough spot - JJ is a second half QB he needs time to get warmed up and learn the defense. I don't blame him for last week as the receiver ran the wrong timing route and JJ threw the ball to a spot but the Receiver had headed up feild.

The tough spot comes in that Buck is not a good starter he is better coming off the bench and he is fragile. Having said that I would only use buck in dire points such as 4th quarters if JJ is not playing well after 3 quarters. Its funny 2 weeks ago the guys was player of the week now everyone want his head for a play that was partially his fault and defense that got smoked.

If I was Wally I would be more worried about the defense. They have getting worse not better, they seem to concerned with INTs and big plays than stopping the run and letting receivers run free.

Of the favourites this week, BC is most likely to win according to sportbooks. Edmonton is weaker away. Whereas BC has won 4 of 5 previous meetings. First loser in back-to-back games normally play better in rematch especially at home. This decade, Edmonton almost never win back-to-back games against the same team. Considering that BC outplay Edmonton for almost 3 quarters, final score isn't indicative of how close first game is. With CFL best receiver back and a dangerous running back (similar to Charles Roberts), BC offense should be improved.

You definitely make some good points, and I think you are right about Pierce being injury prone. I do think that Jackson's toughness has played a huge part in him being named starter. After the Printers/Dickenson saga, I think Wally will go out of his way to make sure there isn't a controversy. That being said, for the record, I have always thought that Pierce was the better choice. Nothing can compensate for the fact that he makes better decisions with the ball.

i like the move that wally made of starting logan, he's quicker and faster than smith.. On the qb situatiion i think jackson should start but if he stuggles in the first half i would get buck in.. I do believe bc covers the 5 pts
