Santana is 10-1 in 14 starts against the A's with a 1.35 ERA. Earlier in the season when Santana was SLUMPING he still was able to throw a gem for 8 innings, 3 hits, and 1 run HR.

Santana has since regained his form and has been pitching well. I expect him to pitch well tonight. I'll lay the 2 to 1 on the Angels tonight.

Every win by the Angels over the A's this year has been by 1 or more runs. So for you run line players, might not be a bad one.

This game is in the favour of La they have the edge over oak in all the following:
Home adv *
Starter *
Hitting*
Bull P *

But I think they are really over priced. The real line for this game should be in the -152 to -160 area..

Let's see if its another game where the dog comes out on top....bol all..

Peace....

  1. After winning two of the first three meetings between these teams this season, Oakland has now dropped five of its last six games against the Angels, including two in a row.
  2. At 26-13, the Angels have the third-best record in the majors since the All-Star break. However, after posting a 12-5 record in their first 17 games this month, the Angels have now lost five of their last seven.
  3. Oakland has lost six of its last eight games, scoring three runs or less in seven of those eight contests. The Athletics will be looking to snap their current three-game road losing streak.
  4. Trevor Cahill, who has lost each of his last four decisions, is tied with five other pitchers for the most losses in the majors this season with 12. Cahill is 0-4 with a 7.71 ERA in his last four road starts.
  5. Ervin Santana will be looking to win his fifth straight start overall and is 10-1 with a 1.36 ERA in 14 career starts against the A's. His 10 wins against them are the most in his career against any opponent.
  6. Torii Hunter is hitting .412 with 11 RBI during his current 12-game hitting streak -- the second longest active hitting streak in the majors.
