You value, experience, education and what you bring to an employer should determine your worth....

Those that push for it, ask them WHY cars, homes, flights, etc,... have higher or lower worth

things are headed that way- because management wants to cover their asses from gender-racial pay gaps- lawsuits

my job has a set starting wage and then all your raises are based off yearly reviews, so person a and person b who started together on the same day in the same position still doing the same job could be thousands of dollars apart very quickly
