I had all of ONE wager there before I was sent to their real or I guess sharp lines. It is a ploy to get you to upload .... then they attached a bonus to your upload and you are forced to play with their new lines.

False advertising at its finest ...

You gotta just love their dog lines though. I pointed this out in the beginning of the week.

Illini--

You have mail sir.

If you are communicating with Illini about this issue (I assume) why not do this openly on this thread? It is irritating to read these from a mod to the poster in the middle of a thread. Another reason why we should have the ability to pm. You are moderating a public forum. Why not keep everything about this topic out in the open.:icon_conf

Halifax - who is lying about anything?

Like I said contact management and ask about your wagering profile if you think you are not getting correct numbers.

wil.

Well, the CS rep on Live Chat is lying, for one (although it may be because he actually isn't aware that BOS deals dual lines, rather than an attempt to purposely lie / mislead).

-------------------

I guess my point is, why bother telling these guys to contact the Customer Service Manager ? What can he tell them, other than what they already know, which is that they're being dealt a second set of lines different from what is showing on Rx Live Lines.

In my opinion, it would be much simpler to say "Yes, we offer more than one set of lines, as does WWTS, Bowmans, Skybook, BoDog, Millenium, Bet365, V-Wager and numerous other books .... deal with it." People still play at the aforementioned books, even if they're dealt the sharp lines, and people will still play at BOS.

---------------------

To answer another poster's question, the only book that I know of that freely admits to dealing more than a single set of lines is Bowmans ... Scott will tell you this straight-up, if you call and ask.

had the EXACT same thing happen to me after just one bet I started noticeing totally different numbers than line service showed. That seems to be the big problem, people waste their time signing up after they see these numbers and than bam there gone

Seeing as they are a PREMIUM ... PLATINUM or whatever ... advertiser here it would be really nice and professional if they came and explained themselves ...

Seems like many people here have been sucked into their scheme and would like to know why? Mods?? Can we get some answers??

I emailed a link this morning. I will also see if I can get the feed changed to the so called wise guy feed if that will make everyone happy.

I spoke to Jamie Owen at BOS and there definitely are two sets of lines for baseball at BOS (as there are at many books). Presently the "public" profile lines are being displayed on Rx. Live Lines. The Rx. Tech Support is working with Jamie - BOS IT personnel and our own Live Lines guru Lander to change the feed back to the so called "wise guy" profile lines.

No one is trying to hide anything here. Bascically small deposits are profiled "public" and larger ones "wise" as far as baseball lines go. Profiles are updated daily by the BOS risk management department.

Anyone who would like further information or explanation is free to call or email Jamie at:

Here's a hint.

Depositing over 500 will put you on sharp lines. It's a preset amount, and the switch is done automatically.

Have a theory that betting over 100 per also will, and betting the attractive dog lines most certianly will.

If it is TRUE that 95% of people that play sports are losers, why do books do these deceptive things? Is 95% NOT enough in a books favor? Bowmans was my first shop and Scott was the BEST of the Best. I just got tired of seeing their lines and then when I went to place a wager, the lines were different. I cut Bowmans loose during CBB this year after this scenario kept repeating itself. I did the same with Bodog. As long as there are books like Pinny, Cris, Cascade, and Oly, you do not have to be a second class customer. Hell even SIA has NEVER done that to me. As far as BOS is concerned, it is hard for a cat to change its stripes, even with a new master. LT:monsters-

I get the "wiseguy" lines at BOS and still find great value there.

Seldom a day goes by where I don't find a baseball line to my liking there.

Having said that and considering BOS offers me tons of free contests, FANTASTIC bonuses, decent limits, and free neteller withdrawls up to $7,000.........they are day in and day out a TOP TEN book with me during baseball season(quite easily actually).

Now I FULLY understand that some do not like the fact they deal DUAL lines as many have come forward to say this, however for my wagering this means absolutely zilch...........and sure to many others it means zilch also.

BOWMANs deals dual lines also and enjoy their book tremendously too.............more so for football than baseball however.

You know what I relate this to?

Posters who say they "don't EVER read a particular gambling forum"(many times referring to TheRX or other very, very good forums).

Whenever a poster mentions something like this I immediately think to myself this person is not giving 100% to their online betting business/career/hobby......(although I do realize that many times they are just lying).

Seriously, 90% of the people that say they do not read this forum are missing out on a TON of information that would without question greatly enhance their bottom line.

Sort of the sameway I feel about people that say they don't play at a book because they have "dual lines".

In a way, I should thank them for leaving some gravy on the table daily for me by not playing at these books(or reading this forum).......but the truth is many of these individuals are friends of mine and I like to see them do good and make money.

PEACE,

-FH-

Fish, that's a good post.

The point of my post was to basically say if you think you are gonne get more than one big shot at the craziest square lines ever...forget it. Bos sponsors a shitload of contests. I also seriously doubt that anyone here plays only sharp sides. We all play a square side once in a while, no? I won't out and out lie and say I find a TON of value at BOS, but they:
1. Are rock solid as far as financial security
2. Have good customer service as long as you ask to speak to a manager
3. Offer a bunch of options
and
4, they have free NT WD's up to 7k, which for MOST on this board is more than adequate. They aren't trying to be Pinny. It really shouldn't be necessary to ask if they deal dual lines, should it?

There is absolutely no way they would make money offering something like...

KC +1.5 +235

meanwhile PINNY HAS NYY -1.5 -180.

Given the chance, anyone with the means to do so would hit the bos side for 5 dimes (their max), and do the same to the pinny side. They would lose their ass if they took all comers like that.

They have decent totals lines also.

They probably would be based on the past 3 months..........and BOS has probably been in the TOP 3-8 range in that same time frame.

To be brutally honest, I am very happy with the vast majority of books that I frequent, as all offer something unique and valuable on almost any and every given week.

Thats great that they sponsor contests, but the fact remains they run a bait-and-switch operation. No different than going to the store and finding a can of coffee for 5.99, but they ring it up for 6.99 because you look like you have more money.
