The game was nip n tuck just a great game. Then that ending was total awful crap. I feel robbed. I've been doing this for decades and I've seen it all. This isn't getting much press online but it was horrible. It's the life I chose. I could have played bulls - no one was stopping me.

It's been a long time since I've felt so so cheated. Half court shots. Falling out of bounds bank shots whatever thats part of the game but this official to me is criminal. Maybe he brushed his arm ( maybe) but u can't call that at the buzzer.

Im going underground. Peace everyone

Come on man ur just tilted right now. Much worse bad beats happen every day than late shooting fouls called/not called

@NBA getting killed on Twitter beneath the post on this game that starts with "Jimmy Butler." Every post has "Rigged" and "Fixed" in it.

Typical several million dollar NBA theft. They needed a BIG HIEST because there's no action for nearly a week.

i really dont see anything where you can say it's rigged or whatnot. sometimes officials have delayed reaction or maybe it was a bad call but i was expecting some crazy overblown call.

Terrible call

They won because of the referee!

The referees decided that in the end.

Boston got screwed. You can't make that call

I wonder how much did that call cost? Absurd!

If Tommy Heinsohn was calling this game he would lose his mind on that call.

IMO a real bad beat is when non normal game events affect the outcome. Like when that college crowd rushed the court with .4 sec left on a TO thinking they won and got their team a tech called on them so the other team ties with a FT and wins in OT. Ref calling or not calling a foul on a shot where there was some contact just doesn't qualify.

hahaha, what a horseshit call, but I think officials suck at their jobs and there are moments that simply become too big for them

sometimes they think they're the game, other times they're just trying to show how engaged they are, and then there are those hero calls

the only consistency in officiating is inconsistency

I don't think the OP is calling this a bad beat. I lost on it too but it's not a bad beat...just a shitty call.

Have to admit I was expecting a whole lot worse by the description in the opening post. Other then the whistle being late it seems like a pretty normal play. Those late whistles happen pretty often in sports, NBA, NHL, etc sometimes the ref needs to process what they just say, sometimes it takes longer then other times. I couldn't tell if it was a foul or not by that video, I was hoping for a slow mo replay but it wasn't there.

My only issue is he waited to see if it went in, and then he called the foul. Basketball refs are taught to not even look at the ball. Who cares if it goes in. Was it a foul? Yes, it was a foul. You can't do that. That is why I always say follow the ball on defense. Don't try tk put your hand in front of their eyes and accidentally hit their face or put your hand in their elbow space.
They call way more ticky tack shit than that in the nba...you guys just see the direct result. But real talk isiah thomas got blocked two or three times on drives in that 4th qtr. Bulls were in position to win the game and the refs didn't put them there. Zach zarba also one of the most home influenced refs there are

Just another unannounced "rule change" in the NBA. For decades I watched the NBA and listened to the talking heads enlighten the unenlightened, like myself, that at the end of a game a ref will never blow a whistle that will decide a game. I never agreed with this philosophy but learned to live with it as my team with the ball down 1 or 2 would suddenly be playing under NFL rules and not even get a shot off. I watched the replay from last night and agree where WhiteyBulger is coming from with his opinion. The refs have been ruining games for too many years for me to bet the NBA anymore.

I know plenty of refs that let it go if the shot goes in (borderline foul). Probably not a great call but worst beat ever and fixed? No

The worst are the ones who think they don't have to call that. There are rules for a reason. So everyone can follow them. Of course there's inconsistency, everyone perceives things a little bit different. But you can't tell me these nba refs aren't the best in the world lol. Because they are. And it's not even close. Some rxers off the forum into an nba game, lets see how you guys do haha. Start in a D-league game though, wouldn't want you fucking up any real nba game I got money on. Oh, and Marcus Smart did touch his elbow. For Zach Zarba to even see that contact and have the balls to call it says to me he's a good ref. Any contact on the elbow can disrupt a shot. I guarantee they watched tape afterwards and told him he got it right
