guess you didnt watch the games, guess you didnt see wha happened last year, sox won first 9

yankees won the last 9 to finish the series tied

look at the sox record against teams not named the yankees...its about .500

sox are 1 game better than the yankees.......................... 1 game

sox have more runs, yankees better pitching stats wise

i think yanks are better at both, but we will see, get on the sox bandwagon dipshit

you just said Bret friggin Gardner is better than Crawford. Or you said he is "out performing him right now" but you'd rather have Gardner.

GL Mlink...you definitely bleed the pinstripes....tough to have a sane conversation with you.

You can do all the >>>>greater than signs you want. The Sox score more runs and are in first place and have a better record so I will just lean on that.

Someone tell Mlink the word is spelled, "hot". Also Pedoria is on fire right now, and he hits lefties at around .400 on the year. Ellsbury is streaky and pops the ball up way too much, in the words of Lou Brown "With your speed, you should be hitting the ball on the ground and legging them out.." He is so quick, both are great defenders, Ellsbury has a below average arm, but at least he wouldn't need M. Ramirez to cut off a throw of his in left field.

are you really pointing out typos to me? wow... little quick fact for you, jeter is not even a good hitter anymore and hits lefts at a .390 clip, so what is your point?

Bill, you might be right about Ells hitting 30. What a week for Jacoby.

Here's the thing, I'm a baseball fan first, Yankee fan second, even though the Sox are our enemy doesn't mean I can't appreciate what they contribute to the thing I like better than the Yankees, which is baseball.

With Polanco back and the addition of Pence, your team becomes a beast.

Just saw that, even though he plays for the Sox, I love the way he plays the game.
McCutchen in Pittsburgh is the same way.

Those two are very good when healthy...but if you extend it to 123 I would take that comparison as well.
I think the Sox got you guys by a nose...but we know who owns the SP comparison...:(

If Beckett can match pitches with Doc, Sox have a chance against Philly, but then there's those other pesky starters like Lee, Oswalt, and Hamels.
But, the Sox bats could win that series, if it's Philly / Boston, if 2 of the four Philly aces aren't sharp.

Doc and Lee will be beasts for them...less concerned with Oswalt and Hamels...but those two are better than the Sox's two they throw out there.
IF we had Buchholz I would be more confident in this series match up. Damn shame.

There probably would be a couple of high scroing games and I jsut got to hope the Sox win those.

And before MLink comes in smashing me for placing the Sox in the WS, I know it's Aug. 8th and there is a long way to go. We are just speculating here.

9/11/2011:

Boston’s Jacoby Ellsbury(notes), who turned 28 on Sunday, extended his hitting streak to 16 games with a fifth-inning single.

Props to Jacoby!!!!
