I hear you there. The only time I will even watch any of it is when they are doing auditions and I laugh at the jokes they have on. And from what I've seen about the show her personality doesnt even fit, she doesnt bring the serious attitude, not to mention it just went from a singing show to entertainment show im guessing

Actually I did enjoy her stand up comedy when she was an up and comer.

And almost every interview I see with her is pretty amusing. She has a very likable personality. I guess I posted in haste.

Yeah, I think every judge they have had has a musical background of some sort. It's a bit odd.

But I suppose her candor and wit should be amusing and make for good TV.

I guess I'm in the minority that I like the move. I couldn't stand Paula afterawhile. I know she has music experience but that was when I was 10 years old. And they were a few hit singles.

I like Ellen's humor and think it'll be a nice change on the show.

wow, i'm glad someone else sees it like i do...I have always enjoyed her shows, and find her a very "dry" sense of humor, which i enjoy...kinda like a female Bob Newhart.....she is actually quite clever if u ever listen..

i cant say she "qualifies" as a judge, however, how hard is it to say "it wasnt the right song choice for you" every week?

thats all they do....she will be the comic relief of the group....the other 3 can TELL YOU how good the singer was or wasnt....Ellen will be there for some laughs and entertainment, and i doubt she'll fail to deliver there....
