Daytime
San Diego -124 (2 units)...Nice momentum game, imo. SD has won the 1st 2 in this series in come-from-behind fashion. Atl bullpen troubles continue. SD is 15-4 at home and are the hottest team in the NL. Eaton is 3-0 at home with an era of 3.00., which is very good, considering he was 4-8 4,99 ERA there last yr. Horacio Ramirez looks to get some more starting assignments with Thompson on the DL and Hampton ailing. Only bad thing is, he doesn't go deep into games. His numbers are also a lot more impressive at Turner Field. Would be a bigger play if the Pads had a higher BA vs. lefties.
LA Angels -1 1/2 (+132) (2 units)...Gonna ride the Angels again today. They get a little bit of a better pitcher going today, Bartolo Colon. The Angels are a winning team, have OWNED 1st place in the West for the past couple seasons, and I believe they come out for blood today. They get Jake Westbrook at the right time, he's pitching as if last season was a fluke. Until he turns it around, I'll fade him at the right price. Colon 4 hit the Indians earlier this yr. Clev's lineup still doesn't impress me, despite yesterday's output.
Pittsburgh -109 (1 unit)...Don't usually like betting the Pirates, but I've been impressed by the way Wells have pitched lately. Pittsburgh batters have some impressive numbers career vs. Rusch. Hoping last night's loss doesn't linger for Pittsburgh, treading lightly because of that.
Night Game
STL/Philly OVER 9 1/2 (+107) (3 units)...Gotta like the way Philly is hitting the ball, and STL can explode in any given inning. Add to the fact that both lineups are loaded with guys who have hits today's starters (Carpenter/Lieber), plus both teams recent bullpen problems, this could turn into a shootout. This same pitching matchup produced a 13-4 Philly win last month. Both guys usually get good run support. 11 of 16 Philly home games this yr. has went OVER the total.
