Seattle -108...think there's value to be found here, M's have won 1st 2 (now 6 straight vs. KC), with wily vet Moyer going today. Bautista's 2005 debut was splendid vs. the Angels, so we get some value. KC's success vs 2 lefties this yr, (Maroth and Anderson) is also in the oddsmakers mind, but Moyer is a very different pitcher than those 2. Moyer struggled last yr, as did Seattle, but he is still as determined as ever, just 2 yrs removed from a 21 win season. Bautista is a very good prospect, but the M's have a big advantage offensively vs. the hitting challenged Royals.
Chisox -102..Another squad going for the sweep today, and another decent number to fade Elarton with. El Duque is alive and well in Chitown, and the Sox players have seemed to rally around Ozzie Guillen despite injuries and losing Ordonez and Lee in the offseason. Just the opposite has been the struggling Indians. The Starting pitching has been decent, but they haven't hit all year. I'm sure they will eventually, but you gotta wonder about this young team's confidence level right now.
