no 3 unit plays today, actually 2 of them are just 1 unit. Tricky day in store, imo.
Arizona -105 (2 units)...Let me say one thing, "I DO NOT TRUST Jeff Weaver!!!" Okay, now I feel better. Ortiz hasn't exactly been CY Young Award material either lately, but I do trust him to give a quality start most of the time. He looks like he's starting to get it together, and I believe he will finish with 15 or 16 wins this year. Remember his terrible start last yr with the Braves, this was about the time of year he began to turn it around. Arizona's bats have been inconsistant to say the least (either hit everything or hit nothing), but they are finding ways to win close games. They have also took 5 of the last 6 vs. the fading Dodgers. I believe they will hit Weaver today.
Cleveland -146 (1 unit)...Westbrook has put together a couple nice starts in a row, and it looks like he may regaining his form from last year. Etherton has been REALLY BAD his whole career, and I don't believe he'll get the run support he needs to be effective. Clev has actually hit the ball well in this series (have won 6 of their last 8), while Oak is hitting worse than Clev WAS hitting. Oak is only 4-19 in their last 23 games. I thought about the OVER, but Westbrook could shut these guys down today.
Philly +120 (1 unit)...Two outstanding pitchers going today in Atlanta (Myers and Hudson). Going with the guy who has been more dominant (Myers) which is also the team with the more potent lineup and momentum. Hudson has been good mostly, but also very bad in 3 starts. Myers only "mediocore" start was vs. these same Braves back in April, but that doesn't concern me, I'd like to see Myers cut down on his walks, though. Hudson has also walked too many guys this season. Philly's lineup is more apt to take advantage, imo. They are blistering the ball right now.
