Chisox -125 (4 units)...In very rare cases would I play the road chalk for 4 units, but this game warrants it. Garland has been unhittable so far, Lilly has been VERY hittable. Garland has done well vs. Tor in his career, Lilly has been hit hard vs. the ChiSox in his career. Chisox are hot as a team and have been winning on the road. Chisox also came from behind to win last night. If Chicago gets their bullpen in order, and everyone understands their role, they could win their division.
Seattle/Boston OVER 10 1/2 (2 units) (+107)....This is a pretty big total, but there are reasons here. Pineiro has struggled vs. Bos, esp at Fenway. I'm not sure if he'll ever be as good as he was a few years ago before getting hurt. If Seattle's bats don't come alive vs. Jeremi Gonzalez (Boyd was 'oil can', this guy is 'gas can'), then they won't hit ANYBODY for awhile. Would be a 3 unit play if not for Sea's ineptness with men on base.
Chicago Cubs +107 (2 units)....Gonna bet on the "other' Chicago team today also. Yeah, I know the Cubbies are struggling, but not often you get them as a home doggie, unless they're facing a dominant starter. Phils are banged up, and not exactly lighting it up either. Cubs once again gave away another game in the late innings. Rusch as been prety steady for this squad in a dual role as starter and long reliever. Lieber has recovered nicely from injuries and the NY cesspool that swallows up many a pitcher. He has good control, which means he will be in the strikezone. Cubs power hitters could feast. Would rather have the Cubbies batters (but not their bullpen) if this one turns into a slugfest.
