Atl/SD OVER 8 (+102) (3 units)...The Pads showed yesterday you CAN score runs at Petco. As a matter of fact, these two teams combined for 11, 17, and 9 runs in their 3 meetings there last season. Stauffer's gonna be a nice pitcher given time, but this is a tough assignment for him. Atl would be the play, but quite of few of the Pads hitters have fared well vs. Thompson in their career. And ATL's pen still scares me late in games. There are some 7 and 1/2's to be had, but don't wanna lay all that juice. 8 seemms nice, considering I think this one goes for atleast 10 runs.
NY Mets -1 1/2 (+139) (2 units)...Benson had a rough start at Wrigley last time out (only his 2nd start of the season). That's understandable. He'll get better progresiivly as he works the rust off. It's also an understandable fact that Paul Wilson has been terrible since his last yrs. All Star break. Cincy is a mess right now, and I've capitalized on that mess and will attempt to again tonight. Mets bats should heat up in this spot after having to face Maddux, Prior, Marquis, Mulder, and Morris in the last 5. Dave Miley could be fired (most likely reassigned) any day now.
LA ANgels/Cleveland OVER 9 (+102) (2 units)..Both pitchers faced the same 2 squads last time out, 2nd time around in less than a week favors the hitters, imo. Byrd is 4-0 lifetime v. Clev, but they did touch him up for 8 hits and 3 ER in 6 IP last time. Lee has been pretty decent, but he's struggled at home (ERA about 5.50) in his young career. He can get you 13-15 wins a year, but with a high ERA and will need run support. So far, Clev batters get him runs.
