beware..i've been very inconsistant these past 2 weeks. ready for a turn around.
NY Yanks -126 (2 units)...There comes a time where "pride" becomes an issue for these guys, and the Yanks go out and take care of business. At the beginning of the season, the pitching (starting and relief) let down the team, now it's the hitting, as the pitching as improved. I like the direction the Brewers have taken (they were my "surprise" NL team heading into the season), but they have no business sweeping the Yankees. I think Mussina puts in a good effort tonight, and the get some hits early, and rattle young (but impressive) Capuano.
NY Mets -1 1/2 (+141) (1 unit)...Zambrano pitched his best game as a member of the Mets last time out vs. Arizona. Looks like he's beginning to win over the NY fans. Still walking too many batters, though. But, I'm encouraged by the guy. I'm not encouraged by the inconsistant (one hit wonder). He's one guy who is up-and-down worse than me right now. And the Hou offense took another hit as Tavares strained his hammy yesterday. With the log jam in the East, everyone's talking about the Nats, the Braves injuries, Florida's offensive woes and Phillies resurgence. Mets quietly slipping under the rader, and quietly becoming a very good baseball team. Beware!!!
