1 for tonight. 1 for Thurs. More to follow.

REG Play
Marshall-7
The Big Ben era is over and now the advantage goes back to Marshall, especially at home. The Thundering Herd was slaughtered last yr at Mia,Oh and big revenge in store this go around. Look for Marshall's offense to look much improved coming off the bye week. They'll apprediate the fact they're not looking across the field at Georgia or Ohio St this week. On the other hand, Mia Oh's road woes will continue here, losing 88-36 combined at Mich and Cincy.

Small Play
Air Force Pick
Should be hard fought, as always when the acadamies meet. Navy is the better team, but can't seem to win AT Air Force. going very small here.

2-1 so far heading into Sat....3 close games as it turns out, the lines are beginning to get sharper.

Top Plays
Purdue -3
Watched the Illinois game last wek and it seemed Purdue was sleepwalking on D, too many missed tackles and blown coverages. Can't afford a repeat of that. This is still a young defense, but i believe they come up big here. ND doesn't have an answer when it comes to Kyle Orton. ND has benefitted from turnovers lthe last two weeks, but not this time. Purdue is as much experienced on the Off side of the football as they are raw o the D side. Brady Quinn must come up big in this game to give ND a chance. I don't believe he will. PURDUE 34-13

Iowa -7
Mich St's comeback win vs. Indiana doesn't impress me one bit. Indiana looks like they have come crashing back to earth hard. Mich St must run the ball well to stay close, but will have no such luck against this Iowa front, which means a long day for the Mich St's mistake prone QB's.
Iowa, on the other hand, is coming off 2 tough back to back road defeats. I'm looking for a better performance here in this conf. home (HC) opener. Iowa should be able to run the ball in this game, something they had a hard time doing the past two weeks. That'l open it up for QB Tate, who does have some talented receivers to throw to. IOWA 31-10

Reg Play
Missouri -7
Colorado has given up major yardage this season, despite being 3-0. Brad Smith and the Mizzou offense oughta light it up here. Looks like Troy woke up a sleeping dragon(or tiger). Colrado must avoid getting into a shootout with the more explosive Mizzou squad. (Col 114th vs. the pass). Missouri is more talented and ready to start dominating this series after Col has dominated for the last 20 yrs. MIZZOU 42-24

LSU +3
Georgia may have home field here, but I'll take the better and healthier team. I believe LSU is beginning to find it's personality and realize they can pound the ball and take pressure off their inexperienced QB's. LSU boasts one of the best defenses in college football. as does Georgia. It's hard to expect Georgia to keep winning thru injuries, as they've struggled against weaker competition than LSU.
This game is a must win for LSU, if they expect to catch Auburn and win the SEC West. LSU won both meetings last season, including a 34-13 romp in the SEC Title Game. LSU 20-14

Small plays
Northwestern +11
Ohio St has struggled in trying reach the endzone. Their kicker is their best offensive weapon thus far. It's gonna be tough going for both offenses here, but NW has better big play capability. and a raucous home crowd on their side. If NW can run the ball well and control the clock, they may pull off a major upset. OHIO STATE 19-17

Arizona St -2
QB Walter is coming off his worst game in a long time, but ASU still defeated Oregon St 27-14. ASU comes in 4-0, they won 5 games all last yr. and are quietly becoming the most improved team in the nation. On the other hand, Oregon QB Clemens is solid when he doesn't have to do too much, but he may have to, if ASU shuts down the run like they have thus far this season.
Oregon's D is going to be tested often here, as I don't belive they have the answers. ARIZONA STATE 38-27
