First off, Happy Independance Day to everyone. Let freedom ring!!!!!!
Houston -146 (2 units)...Don't this is too big of a price on the Stros', considering it's Oswalt, and at home. Lawrence has been solid lately, but still struggles away from his "pitchers paradise", and in his 2 starts at Enron (yeah, Enron), he has been hit hard. Houston is red hot, and I'll ride this team in the middle of their good play.
Chicago Cubs -115 (1 unit)...Damn, this game looks eerily similar to the Giants and Scmidt yesterday. About the same story line. Gonna try this again, Wood's got a strong outing under his belt coming off the DL. He's been dominant vs. the Braves the last few years, and I'm still not convinced about Davies, even after the strong start. He's been knocked down a notch. Cubs are gonna have to get their offense going. Cubs have lost last four, it's Woods job to give them a chance and put a temporary stop to the madness. Time to step up, Kerry.
Detroit +120 (game 2) (1 unit)...Verlander is said to be a phenom, even though he's still in Double A. Tigers have hit Davis very well in the past, so the kid should have some runs to work with. Also, Verlander could be facing a watered down Indians lineup in Game 2, and I also wonder how much scouting material the Indians staff has on Verlander. Small play for me, since so much is unknown. But, he's an ODU guy, so I'll bite.
