Edsall was a terrible hire to begin with.

Sarkisan is a drunk! Unbelievable. He just tossed a $3+ million job down the drain....

Agree with Coach on point A with Edsall.

Who hired Sarkisan after firing Kiffin....USC maybe needs to look inward.

***Any SOB out there proud of the Florida Gators...just wondering!

Sark is going through a nasty divorce. Wouldn't wish that on anyone. I think the pressure is getting to him.

Not in today's world. He has to go to treatment first and then seriously if he should fail then they will give him up to 3 more sessions. This in itself is no reason to fire him unless they
can prove without a shadow of a doubt that he was incapable of performing his job. Otherwise, they can fire him for embarrassment of the school which has not happened and possibly pay him if it is written in his contract.

Why don't they go after that guy at Nebraska? I've been reading that folks aren't very pleased with him.

Hopefully, Sarkisian can get the Charlie Weis deal where you get paid not to coach..........Great work if you can get it......I believe both Notre Dame and Kansas are still paying Charlie Weis........I know just a few years ago Notre Dame was paying Charlie Weis more than Brian Kelly despite Kelly being the coach.

Dude, he showed up to work...practice, team meetings, etc...DRUNK. They can fire him "for cause" and not owe him a dime.

And honestly, how can he go back? The players and coaches won't have any respect for him. They've lost the professional relationship. He's done. He'll surface somewhere as a coordinator or assistant (probably the NFL for a few years) then could possibly resurface as a head coach some day (doubtful though).

Yes, very proud of that young football team.....but keeping it tempered, as the O still has a long way to go. McElwain has done a hell of a job.

I hear ya dude, but today is a different world. 1. Did they take a BAT? 2. Were there expert witnesses verifying that he was drunk? 3. Could it have been medication? Could it have been a
medical problem - diabetes will impair your behavior.
so many factors that should be considered before making a blanket statement.
How many people have you heard in your town get picked up for DWI and only get a slap on the hand? It's today's world whether we like it or not.
This isn't my feelings. It is today's world that we are facing where everyone is politically correct and with most folks afraid to pull up their big boy panties.

SAY WHAT?

Everyone in your neighborhood said your baby sitter was drunk when your son suffered a concussion. Not so fast according to you, SHE maybe was on medication while now your son is in a coma. Jesus, she may have had medical problems - diabetes will impair behavior.

WHY DON'T YOU JUST KISS HILLARY's ASS FOR THIS COUNTRY....forget Obama....worst Pres EVER.

Now I'm not for those folks. The point is that it is happening today whether you like it or not. They may have screwed themselves by not terminating him earlier. They accepted his
behavior which could be a contractual point of contention.

I can see Sark and USC parting ways after maybe one more year. Head coach is one of the worst jobs an alcoholic you can have. Between the high stress of the football season and being required to hit the off season booster dinner and cocktail parties where access is easy, not to mention room service on the road.

I wonder what brand of "hootch" he drinks. Based on his salary, I'm sure it isn't "rot-gut".......

With South Carolina mired in sub mediocrity, is Steve Spurmeater feeling any heat there?

This isn't new and it isn't because he's going through a divorce. Apparently he's always been a party animal

Documents, former players point to Steve Sarkisian's alcohol use at Washington

Sarkisian's use of alcohol became a running joke among some Washington players, some of whom spoke about the topic on the condition they not be named because of the personal nature of the issue.
One ex-player said that in 2009, Sarkisian's first season with the Huskies, the coach sometimes arrived at morning team meetings "smelling like booze and [with] eyes all red, like he's been on a bender."

You heard it from me last Oct
[h=1]Steve Sarkisian sues USC, claims alcoholism is a disability[/h]

He fell in the crapper and will come out smelling like a rose. USC won't even show up in court. It will be settled out of court for an
undisclosed amount.
