Edmonton has been the best team in the league through the first portion of the schedule and currently sits at 7-0 in the standings while Winnipeg has won three in a row and is now 5-2 and tied for third place in the division. The Eskimos continue to win despite having to deal with all sorts of injuries, but a loss is coming one of these weeks........I'm guessing it will be this one. The Bombers come off two road games and then hit the road for two more after this game, meaning this is the only home game they'll have in over a month, and it comes just as the team seems to be playing it's best football. A Bombers loss would leave them six points behind the Eskimos nearly halfway through the season, so this is almost a must win for them if they are to stay in the hunt for the top spot in the division. Edmonton, on the other hand, are in good shape regardless and have a home game coming up next week to recover from what would be their first loss of the season. There's much more on the line for the Bombers and when you consider the injury situation, it's surprising the early money is on the road team.
