ECU vs. Wichita State
Saturday 4 PM (approximate)
Wichita State +2.5 (-105)

ECU won 5-4 this morning after down 4-2 in the 9th. The Pirates have injury issues on their pitching staff. Wichita State is 8-3 in their last 11. ECU has won their last two by 5-4 and 8-7. All we need is Wichita State to stay within 2. GL!

Thanks.

Wichita State +2.5 is an easy winner. They won outright 12-2 in 8 innings. ECU started a young kid with an ERA of 18.00. They ran out of arms so they let the mascot pitch an inning with his costume on.

Wichita State plays Tulane at 12 noon on Sunday. I will post as soon as the lines come out to give people time to play it.

I usually follow these plays if I see them in time.
Most books, if not all require run line plays to go 9 innings or they are voided. Apparently some of these college games have a 10 run rule and the game can end without playing 9. Last week you had NCState +2.5. They won big, but the 10 run rule came into play and it didn't go 9. I played it at DraftKings. They returned my stake and voided the wager. However, the next day the winnings were in my account, but the play was still listed as voided. Same thing with today's play. My stake was returned and the play was voided. Hopefully the winning show up eventually. Just an odd set of circumstances. It's weird to need ECU to score in the bottom of the 8th in order to play the ninth.

Had a live chat with an agent and it looks like the play will stay voided and there will be no payout. Given DrT's track record, I find it unlikely I'm the only one that played the +2.5 runs. If that's true, I'm curious to know how it was graded and at what book.

Nonetheless, it's crazy that in order for the game to go 9 innings, either WichitaSt has to score less than 3 runs in the top of the 8th or ECU has to score in the bottom of the 8th.

Update: This note from DraftKings showed up this morning

"Your 5/25 College Baseball wager was voided due to the mercy rule. However, we have now paid out the possible winnings from this bet. Your bet will still show as a voided, but we have credited your winnings to your account.*"

Definitely makes no sense that if you're leading by nine after 8 innings you win, but if you're leading by 10 after 8, it's voided.

Goes without saying , win or lose, always appreciate DrT plays. Back to lurk mode.

Thanks for the update. I wonder how other members did with this situation.

College Baseball Regionals start on Friday. They just announced the pairings of the 64 teams involved. I hope to post some plays as we will see some interesting lines (as much as +8.5 runs.)
