Yeah, it's pretty pathetic. It was funny watching the Yankees/Red Sox series earlier, Alfanso and Nomar were both neck & neck at their homeplate appearences (outs/strikeouts as well. They both sucked it bigtime. I was sorry to see Nomar get on base first, and Alfanso never took lessons.

They always seem to be the same type of pitches too. Low and away out of strike zone and the guy keeps chasing them!!!

Thank you. I completely forgot to say that. He is the biggest sucker for down & away pitches. And, these aren't over the plate pitches first, then break away; they're already outside and then break down & away. Someone please tell him to pull his head at least half way out of his ass. Thank you.

Soriano hit 38 Dingers and stole tons of bases...

He is in a slump but to bench him or move him lower in the batting order is silly...

Just like Nomar broke out of the slump in Game 6 and 7, I suspect you will see a much different Soriano tonight and later on in the Series...

The job of a leadoff man is to get on base and create (like Jeter used to do in years past, and like Pierre does now) NOT to whiff 23 times in the post season trying to hit solo shots.

Giambi can whiff all day - his role is to provide power. Soriano's job is to get on base.

True starts like Ichiro use ALL their tools. He knows a bunt single is as good as a double with that speed. Soriano doesn't even try to hit grounds that he can beat out, he doens't bunt ... nothing, nada ... he uses a heavy bat and gets worse as the season goes on and on.

The Yanks lost 4-3 to an average pitcher. Small ball would have won it, much like it would have in game one.

Just relax guys.
Yankees wouldn't be there in the 1st place if Mr. Grady Little knew how to coach.
So just enjoy it, you guys win, good for you. Yankees lose, well who cares, they got a free pass from Mr. Little.

Is this a fact??? And if so, will Wilson hit leadoff or what? Anyone got a lineup?
