Ole Miss would have to play a bad game to not take care of LSU... Clobbering Kentucky was the best thing that could happen for this bet to materialize... see you guys in the playoff Ole Miss

Major Rivalry Game..........more under the radar on a national scale as far as rivalries..........Its a lot bigger game than some might realize.....I'll even go as far to say LSU's top rival and Ole Miss's second biggest rival....

Nicknamed "The Magnolia Bowl" the series history is 38-33 since 1937.........first meeting 1894

Since 1980, the Underdog is 23-12 ATS in this series.....Favorite has lost Outright before at -8.5 (last year), -16,-10,-9.5, -8,-11.5,-2.5, -3.5, -10, -3, -2.5 , so 11 outright wins by the Dog in this series which only makes it even more of a true rivalry game.

I noticed that line for being lite....Miss only -3.....Myself and Vegas thinks LSU will show up in this game.

I also noticed Auburn is giving S.C. 17 points....What`s up with that....S.C. is probably going to catch a beating.

Bama only -16 to Tenn....Should be 24.

I can see W.V. having a letdown...Oklahoma st -3 might be the play.

Good luck!

Great work so far this season. Always strong when playing on games involving Ole Miss. While it may look like a trap, I can't help but roll with you here. BOL.

Now that I have a few minutes, thought I would give my reasoning on this.

1) Ole Miss typically plays better in this series in BR. Even in bad years for Ole Miss, they give LSU trouble in BR. The whole "Baton Rouge at night" thing is overrated. I've been there about 15 times. It's really not as intimidating as some would have you believe.

2) LSU is completing 51% of their passes this season. They have given up 16 sacks. They simply can't throw the ball on short to intermediate routes. They can hit you with a deep ball here and there, but that's tough to do against Ole Miss. One, the Ole Miss pass rush does a great job getting pressure with four. Two, Ole Miss has done a great job not giving up explosive plays this year(plays of 40 yards or more). All of this to say I think LSU is going to have trouble hitting the big play, and I don't think they are good enough to throw it enough to not be one dimensional here.

3) LSU is known for their running game. I fully expect them to try and run the ball right at the Ole Miss defense, thinking that they have the size advantage(they do). I just don't think they can string together enough first downs to put up any points. Let's be honest....they've played two decent defense(AU and MSU). Neither are in Ole Miss class. I just don't see how being one dimensional is going to do them any favors.

4) Turnovers. Ole Miss creates them. LSU doesn't. It will be HUGE in this game. Don't believe the national narrative you hear about "good Bo, bad Bo". In 4 conference games he has yet to turn the ball over. He takes much better care of the ball in conference play. This will make a big difference in the game.

5) Let me be clear. I don't think Ole Miss is going to role in to BR and score 30+ points. But Im trying to figure a way LSU gets to 20. Unless Ole Miss uncharacteristically starts to turn the ball over, I just don't see it. Take out garbage time, and this defense has given up two TD's in seven games. Two.(one to Bama and one to TAMU). They have only given up 6 including garbage time. The defense has scored 4 times. So, the first team defense has scored twice as many TDs as it's given up.

6) Honestly, Ole Miss is just better. They are better offensively. They are better defensively. They are better in kick coverage. They are even, at worst, in other aspects. I live here in Oxford. I know about 80% of these kids on a personal level. They won't be looking ahead to Auburn. This team has amazing resilience, and they truly understand the "one game at a time" thing. They will be fully prepared, and it wouldn't shock me to see them jump out to a quick lead like they did at TAMU. In the end, I think this thing finishes somewhere around 27-13.

Both Ole Miss & Miss St will be undefeated going into their last vs each other.......IMO, you have a definite winner in Ole Miss -3

I could see taking Ole Miss -3, but I would be really nervous about doing it.....and I damn sure wouldn't make it a 15 unit play.

LSU's team is young, but they're talented and getting better and better. They've corrected some personnel assignments and are playing much better. Ole Miss has been such a joke for so long that they have historically benefited from LSU overlooking them...in addition to playing them the week after our annual Alabama game. Neither of those benefits is available this year.

One more thing, LSU's Defensive backfield is better than anything Bo Wallace has seen, so he better get ready to run.....a lot.

Good luck with Ole Miss. I like seeing both of these Mississippi teams up there for a change over the same old elite teams that we usually see in the top 5 every year. The only thing I worry about with both of these teams is they have never been in the spotlight like this before. I'll be curious to see how they handle it...

must be a great vibe down in that state right now....

It's crazy right now, man. With us and State playing so well, it's all anyone is talking about. It's going to be very difficult for either team to run the table, though. Just so many tough games left on the board for both teams. I know non-SEC folks will argue that two shouldn't make the playoff(and I can understand that argument from those outside of SEC country), but this conference is just brutal.....especially in the West. There's just never a real break. Luckily, we have a small break in three weeks after LSU in BR this weekend, and next week with Auburn at home. We think get Presbyterian and and off week before going to Fayetteville(a scary game, IMO), and finishing with what is setting up to be an epic Egg Bowl.

Puck those folks, four from the West in the Top 5, no way to get all four in with single losses due to scheduling, but if they could, I say let them duke it out in the playoff, lol. I think all four could whip FSU's ass on any given Saturday. SEC rules big this year.
