Batista has been well known throughout his career of having 4 quality major league pitches, but for some reason although he's shown flashes of brilliance at times, has just never really been able to get it together and be consistent. This year the Jay's pitching coach cut down Batista's arsenal of pitches to two, as he is the closer and only has to face batters once a game, so he can be more effective this way. So far it has worked out really well and he's been rock solid in all the games I've seen , saving 14/15 opportunities and has been around the strike zone very consistently to this point
