I expected some runs today, but not Over 10.5. I figured Hendrickson would do better than his stats at Fenway and after a bad start the last time pitching. Guess not, really.
Still think it may be only a 6-3 win for the Red Sox (now 3-1 lead by Red Sox in middle of 3rd). Let's see.

Orioles bats look a little slow (at least the majority of the hitters), I still dont see them scoring more than 2 or 3 runs because Masterson is legit and just needs to settle in a bit more and get ahead of more hitters. The last 3 innings or so should be money from this GREAT Sox bullpen.
The only worry is can the Orioles bullpen limit the Sox to only a few runs after Hendrickson inevitably gets chased early. 10.5 runs is still a long way away, especially if Masterson can get thru 6 IP today.
Not an ideal start but I think we should wait another hour or so and see where we're at then.

Looking much better now. I just dont think the Sox are quite the offense they have been in recent years (during which I saw this game went over last 5 years). They're still going to be very good on offense this season but, at least for now, theyre a little streaky and slightly worse than in recent years. I think this game will really settle down for a few innings. It looks like it might have started to already, in fact. Hopefully we have a 6-2 type of game on our hands.
i realize that JM is arguably more valuable pitching 4 times a week than 1 to 2 times a week, but this guy has dominating front of the rotation stuff. just like lowe, but actually with a little better raw stuff. unfortunately he throws across his body and he'll probably blow his shoulder out at some point whereas lowe has one of the nicest motions in baseball. but i would still throw him out there every 5th day and slot him right behind beckett and lester...then rice k, wake and smoltz.
haha...well thats how it usually goes, especially with unders. Oddsmakers are usually pretty accurate one way or the other. I think getting out of that with only 6-1 was lucky and I think it will be the key to a victory. Its all gonna be about the Sox bullpen...hopefully they can continue their dominance and give Orioles horrible 'pen some room for error.
he gives me fits sometimes, but tito is a good manager. really uses his bullpen very very well. brings oki in here to get pie (hopefully) and then he can start off the 8th for roberts/izturis/markakis/huff...all lefties although cesar is switch. he gets into any trouble and pap is rested for a 4-6 out save.
