He was with the Eagles before when Andy was HC so they're all familiar with him over there. I didn't know he was a candidate either and I think they rushed a bit on signing one instead of searching a bit further. Im disappointed the way Chip faded hard this year, all the rumors of him not having the locker room and treating the players like they weren't adults.... I dunno I think they may have jumped ship a bit early too.... You can't get all those new players into a new system and when it doesn't work then jump ship. Alex Smith for example...he wasn't the greatest yet look at him now.
He was the Chiefs OC in name, but Andy calls the plays. He seems like a good dude, a guy who won't rock the boat, and will be a good face of an organization. Surprised he got hired, but the Philly Front Office knows him and wanted a potentially younger Andy Reid. He probably needs very strong and established co-ordinators to let him grow into the head job. Won't be under pressure to win early with the mess Chip left, so he'll probably get some time before he's expected to win.
