Besides Tree you know I'm going to say nothing bad about the birds because yes they are my birds BUT:
1. I did call the Minnesota moneyline the Sunday before the wildcard games started.
2. I did provide reasoning as to why I thought we would club Minnesota and we beat them and covered the spread (even though people were betting the line down to 7.5 from 10 and even betting Minny ML)
3. I did recommend that playing POWERBALL would be a better investment than betting on the Falcons (and Vikes too I believe).
4. I have said all along it would be NE and PHI in the big game...even though my beautiful Mrs. being the die hard Steeler fan she is tried to convince me otherwise (her and then some others like this crazed Dante person
).
I think we can win outright...look at New England and how they got started against the Rams. They were much bigger dogs than we are...I just think we can rationalize why both teams can win this game and 7 points is just too many to me. I think we win...not just because I'm an Eagles fan but because I think they have what it takes to get the Pats off their game. We need some defensive plays to win regardless. If the D falls flat we lose bad here but way too many people are underestimating them and have been all year long.
Our D is good...better than Pittsburgh where it counts and just as strong as the Patriots IMO. We'll see.
