14-17 days?? that check system sounded too good to be true. Neteller EFT is only 2 days and it's free.

Maybe one of you guys "in the know" could tell me more....

What are the legal ramifications with using EFT's....as far as the banking industry goes, with dollar limits before papers have to be filled out....suspicious activity reports...how "under the radar" are these transactions?

Does the bank that receives the EFT know all the specifics about where the transaction originated....if a bank receives an EFT and it's labelled something like "Costa Rica Sports Gambling"....are they going to be overly suspicious of the transaction....do they have the ability to refuse incoming transactions of that nature, figuring the banks position against gambling transactions?

I never receive an EFT for more than 10 dimes (usually in the 5-7k region..if I have to break them up I do). I know it applies to carrying the dough in or out of the country but I wouldn't want your bank to report an over 10k transfer from out of the country to anyone. There are people better versed in this than me Marco and hopefully they will post soon.

Is there a reason that more books don't use E-checks?
Is it more costly to them than Neteller?
I've asked this before and the only answer I got was: " a paper trail". Like Neteller isn't.

I have used Echecks. I try and keep the checking account pretty limited with funds. I do have worries as well. I think the best idea would be to open a second checking account somewhere for these transactions.

Not for me. They hold it for 2 weeks before they say the deposit has cleared. But they let you bet with it right away. And when you request a payout, it's always been back in the checking account within 2 business days in my experience.
