Has anyone tried using Motorola DVRs purchased from the US/Canada on Cable Tica's network?
I can get them on eBay for a few hundred dollars, but not sure if Cable Tica will allow you to register outside boxes.
Cable Tica was advertising the Motorola DCT6412 here. I asked for one and they didn't have any, would deliver the minute they got some in. I've been waiting for over 1 year now.
Their tariff page now shows the Motorola DCT6416 for $10/mo or $650, but below it shows the DCT6412 for $14/mo or $675.

I believe the two boxes are network compatibility equivalents, the latter just has 160GB HD versus 120GB.
Anyone have a DVR from Cable Tica (or Amnet), what box did you get? Anyone get a rental DVR from Cable Tica this year? Anyone try a box bought from US/Canada?
