The current total is 137 at Pinn. I like the under tonight. It's the first game of the year for 2 very average teams. One travelling from the other side of the country. Looking over the stats from last year, I'd be suprised to see either team put up high 60's or into the 70's here. Both teams also do try and play defense as well.

Returning starters ppg look like this:

S. Clara: Perkins 13.1, Bailey 11.7, Neisen 9.0, Patrick, 6.1 and Howell 5.8

Duquense:palmer 14.1, McAllister 11.2, Higgins 9.3, Tricco 9.1, and Dokers 9.0

Does anybody else have any thoughts or opinions on this total tonight or either team? Any input is always greatly apprecciated.

Best of luck tonight and all weekend! :toast:

Those are last year's starters-for Duquesne only MCalister and Higgins return.Tricco will come off the bench and he averaged only 3.4.Patrick and Howell are gone for Santa Clara.Duquesne will be breaking in some new guys as a result so you might like your under even more.

Thank you for the updated information Low Tide. I appreciate it. I just can't see these 2 teams putting up that many points for several reasons.

You wouldn't happen to be a Bama fan would you?

Thanks Tide, you too. I'm a Buckeye Alumni myself. Had to laugh, the first college football game my Father took me to was the 'Bama at Penn St game when Joe Pa won his 200th game...and Bobby Humphrey was up for the Heisman Trophy at running back for 'Bama. I believe the Broncos went on to draft him in the first round that season. You guys have a good chance to win out right this weekend with your defense.

Good luck!

I think the under 137 is a very good play, Santa Clara's center is out and they had the worst shooting percentage in their conference last year. Don't think it will reach that number-Good luck with your play!

Thank you, Kaputsa. Greatly appreciated. The total has dropped to 135 at Pinn recently. Good luck to you as well!

As is mentioned in the other thread on this game Santa Clara G Kyle Bailey is either out or at least will not be 100%. Another edge toward the under. The Broncos front line is a bit suspect with Denison out, depth becomes an even greater issue.

Just think that Duquesne and the points might be the better play. I will admit to limited knowledge of the Dukes other than they are a program on the upswing and in good shape outside.

Not exposing much bankroll this early
