Dumb Question: Torrent site

I have been able to replenish my music using only this site....more than a few. The best thing is that I can download a whole album(which I usually do)

Also, a question for anyone who can help.

I recently changed to FIOS from cable internet and have gotten 4 copyright violation notices and threats of disconnection. Never had a problem for 5 years with cable provider and have been using the same torrent sites. I also use Vuze software.

Any suggestions, besides of course not downloading anymore?

Are proxy servers effective? If so, can anyone recommend a good one.

Tried the code and did not work. Thanks though. I have been using bitjunky for quite a while. I am not extremely savvy on the computer and sometimes have issues burning to disk. Especially if they are large files and I want to shrink them to fit on 1 cd.

Anyone have software for a dummy that can do this all in one? I have used winrar, nero and several others and would think there is just one to help me take the the iso or .rar and end up with a disc rather easily.

Any possible repercussions by using torrents? do you use your own email address? Just curious.

demonoid and btjunkie are where its at. Probably 200 movies the last 2 months, Office, all sorts of stuff.
Demonoid is great because everything is clean. Use the frog to .rar. Lots of stuff out there to use. roboform if u do not use win7

what're you using to play the files? Try VLC Media Player if you haven't - it's VERY lightweight and plays just about everything.

i've never run into one without sound - that's why I thought maybe the player you were using just doesn't have access to the right audio decoders.

...files you're seeing (like .avi or .mkv files) are containers - and usually they contain a video track and one or more audio tracks - so just because it's a certain type of file extension doesn't mean much about what type of decoder is needed to play it.

if the files on btjunkie.org have lots of positive feedback, you can be pretty sure they have audio.

Yeah mainly using btjunkie

But, for example, of the 6 movies I downloaded last night, 3 of them didn't have audio and didn't have sound through any of the 3 players I have on computer....

I deleted the ones that didnt have sound and there are so many to choose from I forgot which files they were.

Yet another question for those who burn to dvd's after downloading......

What is the reason some of the burnt movies will play on some dvd players & computers, but not on others?

I assumed the reason had to do with the age in years of the dvd or computer, but apparently that isn't the case since the ones I've burnt work on some, but not on others that are even pretty new.
