can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was in the movie. No one is a bigger fan of the original Dumb and Dumber movie than me. It was original and memorable. One of my favorite movies all-time. Dumb and Dumber To wasn't. It was the opposite.
I always had my suspicions as to why film studios passed on this one and why making it was on one week, then off the next week and then on again. Now I know. The Farrelley brothers have made some great comedies like "There's Something About Mary" and of course the original "Dumb and Dumber", but they have made some recent stinkers like "The Three Stooges" and now "Dumb and Dumber To". Sad to say but I found it unimaginative and unoriginal. I did laugh a couple times but mostly I cringed at how they could make such an absolute shitty movie compared to the first one. I kept hoping it would get better but it got worse as it went on.

wow I cant believe I missed this thread. I was super pumped when I heard there was going to be a 2nd movie, I had been following the "filming news" over the last year. From Jim walking off the set, to re-writes and rumors. The first one is still one of my all-time favorite movies to watch. I bet me and Scott can talk all day with just using movie quotes from Harry & Lloyd
when I saw "to", I wanted to like it so bad. But it just seemed like they tried too hard. Some of it was predictable, there was a few unexpected laughs in there. But overall I was very disappointed as well... maybe it will be funnier the 2nd time around....
