St. John's is down by 10+ points and all they do is go for layups and plays inside? That makes no sense to me, if you are trying to win the game you are shooting three pointers every trip down.

Blatant attempt to cover the spread by St. John's it looks like...no other explanation why they are not attempting any three point shots with under a minute left still down by 10

99% of teams who are down 10+ points with less than two minutes, good three point shooting or not, are going to attempt shots from beyond the arc. St. John's did not make a single attempt.

pathetic end game scenario from duke. they had the goods to cover this number but I was dumb for expecting them too. They just have put together very few 40 minute efforts. They still have alot of problems on defense, and if they play like this on Sunday Wake Forest is going to take their lunch money..

Duke guarded the 3 point line and that left open lanes to the basket. St Johns wisely took advantage. Meanwhile, Duke was more interested in sucking the life out of the product and made no effort to score (and they didn't).

i just got home from msg i was at the wonderful game and i got a nice cover with the over......i would like to throw in my two cents.....st johns has nowhere near the talent that duke has outside of dj kennedy but coach k had duke nurse the lead instead of trying to stretch it out. ....i totally agree with the way st johns played the end of the game.....they had 4 guys foul out and still cut the lead to 5 with their meaningless layups at the end of the game.....if scheyer misses any more free throws or they get a turnover they could have cut it to a one possession game.....the point is any team that comes back in the end of the game does so by extending the game and putting pressure on the other team.....if someone jacks up a three and misses, the game is totally over.....before people complain because they lose a game understand the point of basketball and coaching.....if st johns jacked a 3 when they were down 10 and missed they would have fouled and then after another miss would have just backed off and you still wouldn't have covered....just my two cents

If they only go for 3's when they are down that much.. then a GT/WF game happens. They were 0-5 or something for the last 5 3pt attempts.
