Tuesday: 5-2, +2.75 units
YTD: 275-309, -24.22 units
1 unit:
STL +104...Suppan's been lights out since the all-star break. Cook has not.
AZ -1 (-105)...Doesn't seem like a bad idea whenever Webb's on the mound, particularly when he's facing an inconsistent pitcher like Lieber. Always good when you're a sinkerballer playing in Citizens
Florida +145...Johnson has owned ATL this year, and FLA has gotten some good cuts at Smoltz. Throw in that Chipper's most likely out, Andru is questionable at best (at this point), it's a good value.
Cincy/Houston under 9 (-125)...Reds lineup just doesn't seem intimidating anymore without a big righty like Kearns. Look at the BAs of the players...unimpressive. No coincidence that they're starting to fade a bit.
CWS -1 (-111)...Umm no way the Chisox get swept at home and have it done by Silva of all people.
Toronto -125...Burnett has kept his walks down which is essential, the Jays hit Moyer hard last time out.
Oakland -125...Surprised the # is this low considering Snyder has been horrific and it's a day game, possibly resting some Red Sox for this one?
Baltimore -108...Loewen's not as bad as his ERA indicates. He locates better, he'll be good. He has no one to fear on the KC side.
Toronto TT over 4.5 (-101)...Blue Jays are good vs. lefties...and Moyer has been hit hard lately.
1/2 unit:
Milwaukee -1.5 (+117)...As I said a few days ago, Pitt doesn't win on the road when facing lefties. 2 wins all year.
Detroit -1.5 (+171)...Think Verlander's given up what, 2 runs since the all-star break? Uhh yeah I'll take my shot here. Detroit pounds lefties, which means they will get some decent licks at Sabathia. He'll have to pitch his ass off to win this one.
