Are posters who are just here to 'flame' chasing away posters who are here to receive good information?

Read Stephen Nover's article called "Driving good posters away" by going to the RX home page at www.theprescription.com.
Then check out Wild Bill's latest column called "Stay away rules," which is also on the home page.

It's easy to set a policy, difficult to implement it.

Good article,

If I didnt have such thick skin I would have quit long time ago. I give 100 times more than I get back. I basically have always wrote down what I was thinking on scrath paper, now I do it in posting forum,so it is good therapy for me. Forums are basically a bunch of ungratefull recreational squares, Im only here because I happen to like Ken, because I dont care much for most of the posters here.

I never cared for the "people should be nicer" type sentiments. It's a losing battle. The winning strategy in life considers the environment a given (IMO). Focus on yourself and you'll be amazed to find that the number of flames you get depends on you and not the other guy.

Interesting point Darryl.....So you're basically saying that(at least for the most part), you'll get what you ask for. Correct?

Seems pretty damn logical to me

A Rubicks Cube isn't square (well, cubic)?

When the rx started calling it an "article" when posters suddenly moved there posts to the front page, content here took a major hit.

To call it an "article" is insulting to anyone who reads researched real articles in news magazines.

Somehow a couple guys think their "posts" are above the rest and deserving of front page exposure.

Ridiculous.

Between that and the bodog infomercials the front page is now useless.

When the rx makes an effort to return to real unbiased content, the forums will improve as well.

Until then feel free to blame it on the flamers.

Basically it's the egotistical little shits that get flamed along with the "lock" boys looking for some attention. If you look closely you'll probably see that the ones getting flamed the most are the attention whores that revel in the flaming.

TT,

Yes, this is exactly what I'm saying. Flaming, contrary to what many think, is NOT random and does NOT target innocents. There is always a hidden message which is constructive if properly interpreted and it's up to the flamee to find it. Nobody is going to do the favor of spelling it out in black and white. Maybe mommy and daddy could have or should have done that way back when but in adulthood things get cryptic and two-sided. Those who decipher the messages become wiser and those who don't, well, live a life of confusion. It's unnecessary suffering really, because the code is not that hard to break, but I will never infringe on anyone's right to remain ignorant.
