Drivers license hook up?

Hey guys I need your help and I apologize to be so blank about it, one of my friends is in dying need of a drivers license ASAP and the process of getting it is around 2 months aparently, does anyone have a hook up. I promisse to be discret I mean deam you all know me....

My wife found a guy who would hook her up. (She doesn't want to learn a manual-shift to take the test). Of course, he took her money and telephone and disappeared. (It's a lesson she needed to learn).

While I do have a license and it is well worth it to get it, I have a friend who has been driving for quite a while and never got one of any kind. He simply uses the 'Blue Bill' technique.

I drove around for years with no insurance before our laws changed. I used to put my pops car in neutral, push down the road then start the bad boy and go out all night, I was 12. I hate the law so I break the law. You don't need a license, you need a pit bull. Get a pit bull and take it with you everywhere, when a pig pulls you over your dog will go nuts, he wont want to deal with the hassle and will give you a warning. Unless its a robo cop I know this works. Ive been pulled over with dead tags, no insurance, suspended license, and let go with a warning b/c my pit will go nuts at anyone in uniform. If you don't want a pit get another stud dog, should do the trick.

Good luck with that... It will be better if your friend call in and set the appointment …. Maybe the month that you’ll be looking for someone it will be the month that u’ll wait …. Besides that the people who do that, charge way too much $$$ believe me… I’ been there I spend 3 months looking and talking to people and at the end I just set up and appointment pay a couple of driving lessons and now I have a legit license…. Also be careful because there are some guys that give you a license with no problems but your name will not show up on any records at the CONAVI so u just paid for a freaking piece of plastic with ur name and picture on it ….:wink:

I read here before that there are people who make fake licenses and they are right around the gov office that issues DLs, they wait for new customers there

So look for them right in front/around that office

I went down there last week to get a drivers license. I had a Costa Rica license before. Anyway, I went there with no appointment, I went to the front of the line and asked the guard where do I go...He let me in front of everybody, told me to go upstairs...and there, some Saprissa fan lady who was the boss (it seemed like), looked at my previus paperwork which I turned in about 5 years ago...and said Ok you are approved for a 6 year license now....I did not so any ID at all, no passport, no US drivers license...nothing...went to the bank and paid 10600 colones and then took a picture and was handed the license...The whole process took about 60 minutes!!!!!!

nothing surprising about this situation at all, you had a CR drivers license before, which means that you were at the same stage a Tico with an expired license would be, you simply have to renew it , the 6 years part I find odd though, normally the max is 5 but who cares, you got it

It sounds a little crazy but just go down to the DMV and stand in front looking confused. Someone will ask you what you're looking for. The guys who "work" there, while sketchy in appearance, have always delivered the goods in my experience (2 times personally).

Those guys are there everyday and make a living hooking you up, not ripping you off. I doubt some scammer would last 5 minutes before the regulars ran him off.

Just renewed mine in January and got it for 6 years. Are they giving out a free year now? Maybe to reduce the amount of license renewal work they have to do or something?

Have him go take the theoretical test, it isn't difficult. I passed and I don't read Spanish worth a darn.

Only short-cut I can think of is get a really good counterfeit license of a U.S. state or other country... (other country I suppose you'd need the passport stamps to prove it), and exchange that for a CR license.

There is an International Driver's License issued in CR by Automovil Club. I think they are located in Sabana Sur. Its accepted pretty much everywhere in the world. Might be worth looking into.

I am not sure if its issued in CR only for ticos though.
