Drifters Taking Shots At Locals

I have heard of guys that are drifters that befriend local communities and frequent sportsbars and then find a few locals and shoot into them by betting Dimes or more and if they lose they just move on to another area location and do not pay bookmaker and do the same thing and so on. Some guys have made a living off this method because you cannot lose. There are so many locals all over the country that will take on customers without even screening you. The time you do this in all 50 states you can make rounds again to where you started because many locals change over time. Sure it is know life being a drifter but you will make money, just have to be a good bullshiter and frequent sportsbars, ect and build a little trust get some numbers from locals and start small and pay if you lose but then shoot into them big time and if you lose you just stiff them and move on. Since your not a known resident no one will find you. This life is not for me but some have made big money doing this. You stick around when you hammer the book to get paid and as soon as you lose you flee without paying. I guess this is called shot taking and will only work with true locals. It will not work with offshore books who take credit because screening is tighter and not easy to get credit offshore unless you know key people. So boys if you like to travel and have no family this could be for you. You can even get locals in places like Montana.

running a credit shop local/offshore will always have a certain amount of write off/stiff action..........no matter how careful you can be..........

case in point.... booked a guy last year on football..settled every week 5-10dime figures..............last week of the bowls...stiffed me for 17k.....just never know.........

I know a guy who did this for a living, he will hit like Miami, Tampa, and Orlando all in a month, he will get 2 books and bet both sides, collect from 1 guy and stiff the other.

rules to book by for credit books..offshore/local doesnt matter


1. new customers must have references

2. set a loss limit for new customers

3. watch for danger signals..ie betting out of character

4. be wary of new players that ask "how much youll take or whats your limit" stand up players wont ask this question they will say i like to bet this much money......will you take it?

5. be carefull of any type of customer that works on commission only.....they tend to bet money they dont have..

6. if a new player wants to bet high.....dont be afraid to tell him he needs to post up....

7. the gambling world is a small one...chances are that a new player has bet with someone somewhere sometime......not to hard to find out...ask around...

these are just a few off the top of my head.............and by no means fool-proof, ask any bookmaker in the world that runs a credit shop and he will tell you he could retire off the money that was owed to him.....

just part of the business.............but at least you should be able to spot the scamsters, shot-takers better..

I guy I knew made about 75K doing this clear and he just kept moving around. If you bet $1000 per game and have some 10-3 type weeks you will make a fortune this way and when your man hits you ofr 10K it is see ya and they just stall him a few days and they are out of county limits. This is a can't lose method period and has no holes in it.

Well if your a real tough type of bettor I know guys that takes shots at bookmakers and if they lose they tell the book to go fuk themsleves and if you come back trying to collect "I will kill you" Bookmaker then dropped it/ This sworks too if your a real sick tough guy type because no book will bother because it is not worth it. They just cut you off period.

Probably so Habs but about a year ago a guy I knew lost 14 dimes to a bookmaker and when the guy came to collect he told him to go fuk himslef and if he comes to the house again he would kill him. He never paid and they never bothered him again.
