With this race expected to be run over a yielding turf, the race appears to be one that is well contested to this observer. Also, there appears that a decent pace may be set up front with the likes of Buddy's Humor, Strike a Deal and Precious Passion. Equitable should be in a nice stalking position. The distance of one and three eight miles is also a factor as few have run the distance. One that has gone this distance and more and is a closer is the morning line favorite Champs Elysees. This guy might throw is another dud or close with a rush down the stretch over a yielding course. Don't expect him to be the favorite here. Hence,
