This Saturday, Aqueduct presents The Wood Memorial Stakes (Grade I) for 3 year olds at a mile and one eighth on the dirt for a purse of $750,000. A field of 8 is currently scheduled to go to the post at 5:19 p.m. EDT. The race is scheduled to be televised on NBC starting at 5:00 p.m. EDT. i got this down to a 2 horse finish i want revenge and imperial counsel and i think prado knowing the track better gets the edge in the contest and maybe the 7 or 8 to complete the trifecta

looks same to me, i want revenge looks like real deal nd think the way aqueduct has been playing hurts imperial council cause speed has been incredible, mite hurt his closing kick. but also look at a lotta rain potentially on saturday nd i want revenge is breaking from the rail....this could be the test even w/o a lot of threats around him. this is actually one of my derby exactas these two so hope they both step up but for betting purposes ima try the i want revenge over all over imperial council.

Expecting to see Lopez under orders from Pletcher to try and go for the lead here hoping to steal the race, but that should be difficult with I Want Revenge stalking him. Saw Mullins in an interview today on TVG and he stated his horse is doing beautifully and was brought back to California following his impressive win in the Gotham (Grade III) and has been breezing very nicely. Expecting to see a very short price on him here. If those two actually hook up it could set up nicely for closers like Cellar Dweller, Imperial Council, Just A Coincidence and even Lime Rickey, although this is the latters' first race on dirt as he has been strickly racing on the turf. With I Want Revenge possibly going off very short, not sure the exactas will pay much, so I'm going to pass this race and watch with an eye toward the Derby.

Taking the #5 Imperial Council W/P - I think that Prado knows this horse and has been working out well and will be closer up to the lead this time and should have a good closing kick today.


really no value in the exotics unless a shot gets second place IMO as this should be between the #2 & #5 IMO

Unbelieveable race by I Want Revenge. Gets left at the start and is dead last following slow fractions. Moves up slowly on the backstretch. Gets into contention on the turn. Blocked on the turn and has to take up. Blocked in the stretch behind a wall of horses, takes up again, swings out four wide and runs down the leaders.
