This Saturday, Turfway Park presents The Lanes End Stakes (Grade II) for 3 year olds at a mile and one eighth on the all weather track for a purse of $500,000. A field of 12 is currently scheduled to go to the post at 5:43 p.m. EST. The post positions, morning line odds and past performance link are shown below. This race appears to be set for a moderate pace up front. Simply don't see a great deal of speed in here. Looking at a close up stalker to take the lead away from the cheap speed and stretch out down the stretch. Pletcher's horse fits this style and is coming off his only race this year finishing fourth in the RB Lewis (Grade II) out west just behind third place finisher and Gotham Stakes (Grade III) winner I Want Revenge. That's good enough for me.
