Would love for that price on General Quarters to hold. Really believe he will be heading to the derby.

Doesn't appear to be a great deal of speed in this race. Perhaps Charitable Man will be able to take the lead, set slow fractions and steal the race. However, not an easy task to ask him to go from his last start in Sept 08 and run a mile and one eighth. That being said, this field is not all that strong IMHO, so wouldn't be surprised if he pulled it off. Most here are average stalkers and closers, however, note that Desormeaux has chosen to ride the Lanes End (Grade II) winner and not riding Theregoesjojo. In that race Motts horse made a bold move 5 wide circling the field at the quarter pole in his first race back since Nov 08 and won going away with a 97 Beyer. Had a nice breeze here and is 1 for 1 at Keeneland. He has won all 3 of his races on synthetics surfaces as well. Will need a pace to run at to do his best, but like his chances to run down the leaders in the stretch.

I haven't been successful handicapping poly tracks but on with the show. I can't bet on a horse that had physical problems and hasn't ran since last Sept, Chairtable Man. Goes against my 40 years of betting horses. Hold Me Back has been successful on poly and seems to have the quality to win a race like this. 20 w 20 p on Hold Me Back.
