The Golden State Warriors’ star forward says his account was “hacked” after a nude picture (which we won’t be posting but can be searched for on Twitter) appeared on his Snapchat story (which is viewable to everyone who follows him).
Green quickly took to Twitter to address the incident.
“Hacked,” he wrote. “(I) can’t win right now.”
The Snapchat incident is pretty ironic, considering Green’s playing style came under criticism in the NBA Playoffs after he (on multiple occasions) kicked an opponent in their nether region. Green, 26, ending up being suspended for an NBA Finals game after racking up too many technical/flagrant fouls. His Golden State Warriors lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in seven games after being up in the series, 3-1. He was suspended for Game 5 and many believe his suspension ended up costing Golden State the series (and a second-straight NBA championship).
Green, who starred collegiately at Michigan State, is part of Team USA’s Olympic men’s basketball squad which is set to compete in Rio next month. The 2016 Summer Olympic Games begin on Friday, Aug. 5 and run through Sunday, Aug. 21. The men’s basketball competition starts on Saturday, Aug. 6.
Team USA has won the gold medal at two straight Summer Olympics.
