Whats with Goodell and these hugs he's giving out after these guys get drafted.

He was darn close to making out with a couple of those guys. I almost felt uncomfortable watching...

There are hugs. And there are hugs. This was just a little over the top for me.

And to think this was a genuine gesture is naive IMO. Its all about trying to change his image with the players and the public. Guy seems like a fake cheeseball to me. A lot of people that have had dealings with the guy feel the same way.

i think the best player in the draft was richardson and he went to the Browns, poor guy.. then cleveland did what they do best, take a qb and throw team back another 5 years.. not an nfl fan thank god

He is in a tough spot, he works for the owners. But at the same point he does want to try and show that he cares about the players. Its a very difficult high wire act, still think he does that better than Tagliabue

I think it's a father figure type thing. You've done it! Congratulations I'm proud of you but if you're bad I'm going to beat that ass. Just so he's not always just the bad guy he wants to show he's happy when the players do good things too.

The gesture in and of itself is nice. But thats the type of hug you give your own kid after they are married. Or graduate from HS. Your OWN kid.

Some of those hugs just kept going. And going. And then he went nose to nose with a couple of those guys. It was very akward to me. Like I said, I was uncomfortable watching. (And I am no homophobe)
