taylor was definetly beating this guy, but he was taking hard shots and they werent fazing him at all.

all the sudden, in the 7th round, just before the over cashes the fight gets stopped.

also, beneama was fine in the 6th round, and the ref asked him before the 7th started if he wanted to continue.

I rarely bet boxing, but the dude went down quick in 7th, I'm over it ! Maybe I'll place another bet in a year or so. I like to watch it, but shouldn't bet on it !

geez, watch the replay, he wasn't getting an ass whipping, and the punch that knocked him down was rock solid. Take a loss like a man.

green,

i didnt have a bet on the fight at all so im not bitching about it.

i agree the punch was very solid. just seemed to convenient that it was a good fight and the guy was never in trouble until just before the over hit.

almost like he gave the guy his chin...

What's the problem he got rocked in the 7th and wanted to actually quit after the first knockdown. Look how he was trying to spit out his mouthpiece several times and that wasn't because he was tired. Shit happens, Doug didn't get screwed.

he didnt want to quit at all!!!! did you see his reaction when the ref stopped it?

the second knockdown wasnt even a knockdown. he got tangled in the ropes and went down to his knee.

Sure he didn't want to quit

His tirade after the fight showed that he wanted to keep tasting leather for another few rounds. Really RPM go back and see the replay after the first knockdown, he was actually trying to spit out the mouthpiece but didn't in fear of looking like a punk bitch which he looked like anyway at the end. I guess the ref and Bunema's corner knew just when to stop the fight to screw the over bettors

You want to talk about someone who ALMOST got screwed it would be Barrett who got a split decision instead of a unanimous decision.

You ahve ZERO argument as far as the over/under on this one. so you got beat,, swallow it and move on. Don't say jack about fixed and bad beat on this one, sorry you lost, but accept it.

green doberman,

i didnt even have a bet on the fight OR the under over. i was just watching it. benema never got in trouble once through the first six rounds, yet the ref still went over to his corner before the 7th started and asked him if he wanted to continue.

WHAT THE FVCK IS THAT ALL ABOUT?

Accumulation. The fact is Bunema took a lot of clean jabs and occasional hooks and right hands. As people wear down there punch resistence becomes less and less. Not to mention it was a pretty brutal right hand that put him down. Also, Bunema didn't get tangled in the ropes and took a knee. He got knocked back into then with a couple of right hands, then proceeded to take a knee.

No, a couple landed. Bunema blocked a couple but I watched it in slow motion before I posted. taylor landed 2 rights and the rest was blocked.

It's hard to see when they were fighting because Bunema's back was to the camera. After the fight was over though they showed it from another angle and it was very clear. I do admit you have a good point about the timing though. The ref asking the corner if they wanted to quit and it ending the same round is a bit suspicious.
