After the worst day I've had in 3 yrs yesterday (0-7 in MLB) I began to consider the simplest "doubling down" scheme. IRONICALLY enough, I know. Just 24rs earlier I pulled off a 6/6 though, lol.

Let's consider it without a 5% vig just for simplicity, playing -105 to +105 ML's in MLB for instance.

Starting at $100, and of course assuming consecutive wins and placing all earnings against the next wager.

Bet 1. $100...WIN: $200

Bet 2. $200...WIN: $400

#3. $400 - $800

#4. $800 - $1,600

#5. $1,600 - $3,200

#6. $3,200 - $6,400

#7. $6,400 - $12,800

#8. $12,800 - $25,600

#9. $25,600 - $51,200

#10, $51,200 - $102,400

Now, I really only went beyond 5 straight just for fun and to (try) to prove a point, but wouldn't you like to think you could call (5) straight in significantly less than (32) attempts and be able to turn a decent profit on this scheme? How about (3) straight in less than 8 tries?

Again, I know it's reduced by the vig, but this just seems so tempting. I suppose another limitation is that online books restrict how much you can wager, so that changes things for many.

Obviously it isn't this easy, but doesn't it just get your gears turning?!!!
