I see that KSU is now +9 1/2 at some places but for most of the week they were +10 or +10 1/2. The total is at 40 which is pretty low. Central Mich hasn't really blown anyone out on the road.

How is CMU going to cover?

I used to think so but these are public bets. Since they aren't major college action I'm guessing there isn't as much money on these games so the % of bets more accurately reflects the square bettor.

well...the point was that no matter how accurate it may be...it doesn't matter because it's the most rigged division in football and it's mid week.

I learned a lot from this game. One is that even though the books reverse the line against a big favorite there may be no good reason for it. I think most of us knew that already but this game really outlined it.
Kent State was clearly outclassed in this contest so no RLM was justified. Yes, KSU did have some shining moments in the first half but they were shut down in the second.
Also, as The Falls mentioned, wacky things can happen in these Mac games. The moral of the story for me at least is to treat these games as small betting affairs if i'm going to put any money on them.
