Don't Sleep On Chicago

The Blackhawks have had bad runs during March in 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015 and
again this season. In three of those seasons, Chicago flipped the switch come
playoff time and won the Stanley Cup. Right now, they need a spark and confidence
boost heading into the playoffs. Maybe it will come with the return of goalie Corey
Crawford, who was having a hellava year before being injured. Talent and heart is
a fixture with the team....the Hawks just need a revitalization with the playoffs around
the corner. Don't sleep on the Blackhawks.

Where is the revitalization going to come from? Crawford isn't close to coming back, and Keith is going to be on the shelf for a long time. It's only going to get worse in my opinion

I'm not sure anyone (maybe Quenneville) knows when Crawford will play again but
the coach said yesterday that Crawford is feeling closer to getting on the ice. If Craw
is out for extended time it would hurt but Chicago is still mostly the same team that
won three Stanley Cups with a few additions.

Chicago will probably play either Dallas or Colorado in the first round. Both of those
teams have their own problems. Scott Darling, with help can get the job done if Craw
has to miss a few games in the playoffs.

You think the Avs are going to make a run and make the playoffs? Have you seen who they are playing the rest of the way out?
It's either going to be Blues or Stars. Odds I saw last night are Hawks are favorite to win the West still. To me that is mind-boggling. Yes they have their past pedigree, but sooooo many teams have looked better than then all year. If DK misses more than one game, I really don't see how they get out of the first round. That's assuming they are just resting Crawford now. Which as you said, no one knows really

i hope keith gets punished for the whole season + playoffs. the guy is a retaliation goon. if he had a machete instead of the stick he swung at coyle he would still slash him. the guy is a pure idiot. he elbowed sedin in retribution just b4 the playoffs and did the same stick swing to carter's face when they played the kings.
hawks have no goalie- sure they have talent but so do many of the western conf powers.
without keith - who is their top dman they will be gone early imo

Read an interesting article today about the DK situation, and it mentioned that a bunch of e-mails leaked that showed the NHL brass being soft on head injuries/concussions. His suspension will be very interesting. To me, he deserves to be tossed for the whole year, for the reasons Seer just said. And I'm a Hawks fan

Mr. V my pick to win the Stanley Cup are the LA Kings but I'm amazed at RX players
who throw Chicago out the window. Too many good players on that team to discard
them. There's something to "knowing how to win" when it comes to playoff time.

This year's playoffs will be fun to watch.
