A Charleston police officer was filmed telling a group of young black children, 'don't go to church and get hurt'.
The jibe appears to be a crude reference to the massacre of nine African American congregants during a bible study class in the same South Carolinan city last week.
A spokesman for the police department said a review has been launched since they became aware of the video, filmed by the children, on Monday.

It starts with the children, who appear to be as young as six, running up to the patrol car with the cell phone camera, laughing and shouting: 'f*** you n****, I'll f*** your momma!'
The officer in the driver's seat appears to hold up a cell phone before laughing: 'don't go to church and get hurt.'
A spokesman for the Charleston Police Department told WCSC the force will 'continue to demonstrate through both words and actions that we are here to provide safety, security and comfort to the families, church and community.'

The case comes amid a broad conversation in South Carolina about race relations.
Dylann Roof, the 21-year-old suspect charged with murdering the nine churchgoers, proudly displayed Confederate flag registration plates on his car, and wrote a manifesto calling for a race war to eliminate black people and Jews.

In the wake of the shooting, the state faced nationwide pleas to remove the Confederate flag from its Capitol building as it is perceived by many to be a symbol of racial hatred. It was the emblem of the slave states during the Civil War, and was recycled by white supremacists during the civil rights movement.
Insisting they are dedicated to honoring the slain churchgoers, and uniting citizens of all races, the state's governors finally agreed to remove the flag.
However, this footage will likely refresh outrage and discourse about institutionalized racism.

I had a guttural reaction before realizing the cop was a dick. But let's look at the entire story......

The cop was white and the kids knew it. Who filmed this or provided the camera? It was obviously a ploy to set the cop up. They knew nothing about the cop except he was white, and they say this nasty shit to him. What if it turned out the cop was a good guy just working in a bad neighborhood? We'd have never seen this video! It only turns out the cop was a POS as well.

Double standard here... Kids are 100% in the right to curse, swear and degrade the cop over and over again. But, as soon as the cops says something back, its the biggest deal in the world.

I wonder what kind of parents are raising their kids like this.
